I have an almost finished project I am looking to sell, a CB750 Amen rigid frame, not a Savior. Im not making any progress on it, its spring cleaning time, and Im losing my work space.
*Doesn't have title*
But, I have done a bunch of legwork, and found a way to get a title without going through all the state patrol inspection annoyance, through International Title Service. These are some photos from the fall -- ince then, I have sold the tank, which was nasty on the inside and I was using just as a mockup. I think it looks pretty good with the sportster tank tho. Other parts I have for it that aren't in the picture are 3 inch spings for the seat, a cool old school clutch lever assembly, a new chrome throttle assembly with cool bright red old school molded grips, clubman bars which I flipped over (they're on the bike right now, still have the drag bars), forward controls. I can take photos of these for you if you want. It also has the rare Amen oil tank with pressure gage, with braided lines already hooked up, and the electrical box.
It needs:
solo seat mounts
tail light
to be wired
exhaust
Paint on the fender, if your into that.
Basically a few hundred bucks and some weekends of work, depending on how skilled/driven you are.
I am losing my work space, and have the roving eye for another project -- same old story.
About the engine: Its not currently running (its not wired up) but its a lot cleaner than any other cb engine I have come across, obviously before rebuilding. The guy I bought it from said he took it from a running bike. He also said he rebuilt the carbs, and that he had not put any gas in them since. I havent either, and the slides go up and down fine. The exhaust ports I have kept blocked up with rags, to keep stuff from getting into the cylinders. I think a good general rule of thumb with machinery is that exterior appearance of an engine is usually a pretty good indication of the care taken with the internals, and this one looks tight and clean. The rear tire is new, the front has a lot of good tread, and the chain hasnt been run. Any particular questions you might have, please ask. Im moving soon, and I need to move this along, make me an offer.
Thanks
James
